Dr. Coons has held faculty positions at a number of universities including the University of Toronto, York University, and Northwestern University (Chicago). He has taught a number of courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently he is the Director of the Health Coaching Certificate Program at York University. In this capacity he has developed and oversees the delivery of an evidence-based training program in Health Coaching for an inter-professional audience of healthcare professionals. He has also developed and delivered a number of professional workshops related to a variety of clinical topics.
